NZH Founder, Rob Whitehead

‘I started The Net Zero House in 2023 to help make homes greener and cheaper to heat.

We have plenty of reasons to transition from gas and oil to cleaner and cheaper energy. Heating homes in the UK contributes around one sixth of all greenhouse gas emissions. Since 2022 gas prices have skyrocketed. Yet very few are finding this an easy change.

Understanding what the options are, how they interact and what steps to take in what order can be daunting.

The aim of The Net Zero House is to offer straightforward, affordable advice and assessment services.

My background is in economic development, including senior roles in innnovation centres, local government and think tanks. Now I’m a certified Domestic Energy Assessor, Retrofit Assessor, and also hold the Association of Energy Conscious Builders’ Carbonlite retrofit qualification.’

The Net Zero House is based in Lewes, East Sussex.
